Attorney Lauren Shoffner graduated with distinction from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. She later received her Juris Doctor graduating from Elon University School of Law in 2015. She has the following legal experience:

Lauren handles the family law cases for the office and all of the expungements. She is also well versed in many other areas of the law and assists students with a variety of other cases including criminal and traffic matters, employment questions, contract reviews, consumer issues, and more.
Lauren has a passion for serving the community, public interest work, and assisting young people. She has volunteered with Teen Court in both Alamance, Guilford, and Orange County. She also currently serves in the local bar as a member of the Professionalism CLE Planning Committee, beginning her service on the committee in 2017. While in law school she pursued public interest work and she served as the Fundraising Chairperson for the Public Interest Law Society. During her undergraduate career she participated multiple years with UNC Dance Marathon, UNC Relay for Life, and Blank Canvas Dance Company, which were some of her favorite memories from undergrad.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Rudy. She loves being in the great outdoors, and she especially enjoys finding new places to hike with her family. Her favorite place to hike in NC is Grandfather Mountain, but her most adventurous hike to date was Buckskin Gulch found near the Arizona/Utah border. Lauren also enjoys art and design, and in her spare time she owns her own photography business where she specializes in branding and lifestyle photography.
