Attorney Layne Guyton graduated with distinction from Appalachian State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She later received her Juris Doctor graduating from Campbell University School of Law in 2021. She has the following legal experience:

Layne handles the family law and domestic violence cases for the office, as well as all of the expungements and name changes. She is also well versed in many other areas of the law and assists students with a variety of other cases including employment questions, contract reviews, consumer issues, and more.
Layne has a passion for serving the community and assisting young people. She has volunteered with Capital Area Teen Court in Wake County. Additionally, during law school, Layne interned in the juvenile division of the Wake County Office of the Public Defender. In addition, Layne is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, 10th Judicial Bar, and Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
In her spare time, Layne enjoys spending time with her family and friends. From the mountains to the beach, she loves spending time exploring all parts of North Carolina. Layne loves to paint and is currently in the process of teaching herself how to play the violin.
