Caitlin Dareff

Caitlin serves as legal assistant and office manager and is the first person you will see when you visit us. She assists our attorneys, helps our students schedule their appointments, and also oversees the work of our volunteers and interns.
Born in Oregon, Caitlin moved to Chapel Hill from Alaska at the age of five, and considers North Carolina home. Caitlin graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2011 with majors in Anthropology and Spanish and a minor in Creative Writing. After undergrad, she moved to New York where she worked in book publishing before returning to North Carolina in 2017. In her career Caitlin has also been a bookseller and training coordinator.
In her free time Caitlin enjoys baking, hiking, reading, live music, and spending time with her chaotic cat, Sammy.
